Friends of Sabeel North America (FOSNA) is a Christian ecumenical organization seeking justice and peace in the Holy Land through nonviolent advocacy and education.
Sabeel is an international peace movement initiated by Palestinian Christians, who seek a just peace as defined by international law and existing United Nations resolutions. FOSNA:
– supports Kairos Palestine to end Palestinian suffering.
– calls for an end to the Israeli occupation of the state of Palestine, in accordance with international law and United Nations resolutions.
– seeks equal rights and access to resources for all inhabitants of the region, based on principles of social, economic, environmental, and political justice.
– supports the right of return for refugees in accordance with international law and human rights.
– demands an end to policies of the U.S. government that support and perpetuate the occupation.
– is active in the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) Movement.
– works in the United States and Canada cultivating the support of churches through co-sponsored regional conferences, advocacy, alternative pilgrimages, witness trips, and international gatherings in the Holy Land.
